Friday, May 13, is the in-person registration deadline to attend the ICCVAM public forum. While webcast viewing will be available, those wishing to make a public statement are encouraged to attend in person to enable face-to-face dialog with ICCVAM members. Registration for webcast viewing will be available through the end of the meeting, and participants viewing the webcast will be able to submit statements via email.
The public forum will be held Wednesday, May 25, from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m. at the National Institutes of Health Natcher Conference Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Food and Drug Administration, the Department of Defense, and other ICCVAM member agencies will present updates on activities related to the development and validation of test methods and approaches that may replace, reduce, or refine animal use. A new ICCVAM member agency, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, will present an overview of its activities and how they support the ICCVAM mission. NICEATM staff and ICCVAM members will also provide updates on interactions with international partners.
Time will be set aside following each presentation for attendees to ask questions. The agenda also includes a public comment session for participants to make oral statements on topics relevant to ICCVAM’s mission and current activities. More information is available on the NICEATM website.
