PCRM Job Opportunity: Director of Research Policy

The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is looking for a director with a background in medicine or the life sciences, a passion for animal welfare, and strong leadership and communication skills. The Director of Research Policy will develop and implement strategies to save human and animal lives by replacing the use of animals in science with modern, powerful, human-focused methods and serve as a spokesperson for the research policy department’s objectives.
This is a full-time position located at the Physicians Committee’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Candidates should have an MD or a PhD in the life sciences. Three or more years of experience managing staff is preferred. Experience with campaigns and the media is a plus. We are looking for a team player who will tackle his or her work with a sense of urgency and persistence.
