New Resource for Small Business Grant Applicants

Contributor: Catherine Sprankle, NICEATM

A November 4 webinar will explain how to use the ASSIST (Application Submission System and Interface for Submission Tracking) system for submitting grant applications. ASSIST is an alternative to Grants.gov downloadable forms for applying for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grants. Advantages to using ASSIST include pre-submission validation of many National Institutes of Health and Grants.gov rules, pre-population of application data from eRA Commons profiles, and submission status tracking. Preregistration is required to view the webinar; more information is available on the Grants.gov website.

A page on the NICEATM website is regularly updated to list funding opportunities for test method developers, which often include SBIR and STTR grants. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is particularly interested in supporting the development of technologies applicable to the Tox21 program; please visit their website for more information about applying for NIEHS SBIR/STTR grants.
